Light meters, also known as lux meters, are used in a variety of settings to measure levels of lighting in an environment. With factors such as illuminance intensity, and distribution or color temperature, light meters give us a quantifiable measure of lighting by multiple metrics.

Whichever environmental setting you need to measure, it’s important to have a calibrated light meter to ensure your measurements are correct. J.A. King offers ISO 17025 accredited light meter calibration with NIST traceable master testing standards such as spectrophotometers and light cabinets or dark rooms.

Our light meter calibration procedure requires our experienced technicians to take measurements by direct comparison to a calibrated standard meter and reference source. Multiple test points are taken across the full range of the device, at intervals based on type of equipment. This data is then stored for easy 24/7 access within GageSuite®, our cloud based calibration management system.
