Ultrasonic thickness gauges are used to measure thickness of materials using ultrasonic technology. Also known as coating thickness gauges, they are primarily used to determine thickness of coatings such as paint, epoxy, plating, and other miscellaneous coating materials.

J.A. King laboratories are ISO 17025 accredited to perform coating thickness gauge calibration up to 20 mil. Our coating thickness gauge calibration procedure includes measurements at multiple test points, throughout the range of the coating thickness gauge using NIST traceable standards such as mylar foils, thickness shims, age blocks, and setting plates.
