Starrett Load Cell Sensors

Product Overview

Cross offers the full line of Starrett precision load cell sensors and accessories for material testing, force analysis, and force measurement applications. All Starrett load cells are IEEE 1451.4 compliant and meet or exceed ASTM E4, BS 1610, ISO 7500-1 and EN 10002-2 standards. In addition, all come supplied with a NIST traceable certificate of calibration.

MLC and ULC Load Cell Sensors

Starrett Low Profile (MLC) and Ultra Low Profile (ULC) load cell sensors implement full bridge, temperature compensated strain gauges. These load cells are designed and optimized for material testing applications with accuracies up to 0.05% of reading down to 1/100th of sensor capacity. These low profile load sensors feature high axial stiffness and minimal deflection at full capacity which leads to improved measurement accuracy.

ULC load sensors provide the ultimate measurement performance and are supplied with a standard base place adapter, available in capacities from 1.5kN to 50kN. MLC load censors are general purpose and available in in capacities from 125N to 50kN.

FLC Load Cell Sensors

Starrett FLC load cell sensors come in three varieties. Premium, Sealed, and Economy. The Premium models are ideal for low load applications, and have a safe overload rating of 1000% of the sensors load capacity.

The Sealed models models are suitable for applications in non-laboratory environments where they may encounter dust, oil, or other contaminants. The Economy models are ideal as a low cost, solution for most general purpose force measurement applications.

Did you know… Cross Company is an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan). Our ESOP started in 1979 and as of 2006, we are 100% employee-owned! Learn more about our ESOP and how that benefits both team members and our customers.
Did you know... the precision measurement group at Cross was founded in 1939 by our current CEO's grandfather, Jim King. That's a whole lot of calibration!
Did you know... A fingerprint weighs about 50 micrograms. We know, we weighed it! The residue left from a finger can actually make a difference in weight results which is why we wear gloves when we calibrate weights. For reference, a sheet of paper is about 4.5 grams, that’s 4.5 million micrograms.
Did you know… Cross Company has grown significantly since our start in 1954. Over the years we've acquired 26 companies! Today, our five groups have expertise in everything from industrial automation to precision measurement, and industry knowledge going all the way back to 1939.
