Paper Loading Instructions: (Paper P/N = 19-24679)

To load a roll of paper into the printer, follow this procedure:

CAUTION: The paper is heat sensitive; it should not be stored in a hot location. Do not remove paper from protective bag until you are ready to install it.

  1. Lift the empty paper spindle out of the slots in the bracket.
  2. Place a roll of paper on the spindle.
  3. Press the loaded spindle back into the slots. The loose end of the paper should come off the bottom of the roll toward you. The printed number on the end of the roll should be to your left.
  4. Unroll a length of paper (8").
  5. Pass the end of the paper through the slot in the aluminum guide, close the door and use the paper advance to run the paper out the slot in the bottom of the printer. You can push the paper all the way through and out the paper slot if you want to.
NOTE: The paper advance will not work unless the door is closed.

NOTE: If the printer does not print, even though it seems to be normal, try turning the paper over --IT WILL ONLY PRINT ON ONE SIDE.

Self Test: You can cause the printer to perform its self-test as follows:
  1. Unplug cord.
  2. Close door, activate paper advance switch.
  3. Plug power cord in.
  4. Release paper advance switch.
NOTE: If printer prints: * RUN SELF TEST * THEN CONTINUE You mustrun the self test to reset the printer. NOTE: In the event of certain hardware problems, the red LED will flash. Normal printing operation is disabled. Repairing the problem and cycling the power will restore the printer to normal operation.
