In 2007 J.A. King & Company’s Integrated Solutions Division provided a system for ABB used in the spring sub-assembly production process. The equipment we designed and fabricated, such as pneumaic cylinders and digital force gages perfectly suited operational requirements.

Technical System Summary for Custom Test Machines:

• A preload force of up to 2000 lbs had to be applied to their spring assemblies
• Mounting fixtures would hold the device while force was being exerted
• Operational safety was an absolute requirement

Hardware Solution for Custom Test Machines:

• Safe, repeatable and accurate
• Custom fabricated frame
• 6-inch pneumatic cylinder (non-rotating)
• Digital force gage indicator
• Precision compression load cell
• 2-hand “touch” controls
